Robert McConnell is the author of numerous books for children in both English and French. They include the well loved Norbert Nipkin and Norbert Nipkin and the Magic Riddle Stone, as well as Nip and Tuck, The Strawberry Jam and Davenport Dumpling. He has lived and worked in Toronto as an educator for many years and currently resides there with his dog, Josie.

As well as illustrating books, June Bradford designs and produces greeting cards, fabric, quilts and embroidery pieces. Her previous book for Napoleon Publishing, also in the Napple series for very young story lovers, is entitled A Little Something, written by Sarah Hartt-Snowbell. June was born in Scotland but now lives in Newmarket, Ontario, and is kept company in her studio by her dog, Sooty, and her cats, Beanie and Tiger.
